We're not just about transformers ... We are about People.
Transformers are a big part of our business, but we also provide a place where our employees can build a career and a future. With an average tenure of our staff in excess of 12 years and some of our employees having over 30 years with our company, it’s a place where people enjoy being a part of a “family”. With a focus on promotion from within, where a person can start at an entry level role and may eventually become an executive of the company, the potential for career growth at our company is excellent.
From technical positions that focus on transformers to technology, administration, product development or chemical/lab technician, we’re looking for the best! We are a diverse group working together with a common focus – being the customer advocate in our industry, while building a “Good Place” for our employees and partners.
What is a good place?
What is a Good Place? We all can agree on about 80% of the definition of a Good Place, but we believe that God has clearly defined in Scripture what constitutes a Good Place. We strive to use that basis as a guideline for what we do at SDMyers and how we treat both employees and customers.
People who want to grow, are interested in a challenge, care for people, put others first and are excited about what we do, are a good fit for us. These are people you want to be around anyway, right?

We’re recognized as one of Northeast Ohio’s best places to work!
In 2017, SDMyers was once again awarded the prestigious NorthCoast 99 designation as one of Northeast Ohio’s Top 99 places to work.
NorthCoast 99 is an annual recognition program that honors the 99 best workplaces for top talent in northeast Ohio. The program was developed by the ERC, Northeast Ohio’s leading and largest professional organization dedicated to HR practices, programs and services.
Winners of the NorthCoast 99 award are selected based on their policies; recruiting and selection process; compensation, benefits and rewards; training and development programs; and their company culture, innovation and leadership. In addition, winners are selected based on feedback from a sample of new hires and top performers.
SDMyers has been granted the NorthCoast 99 Award for five consecutive years since 2013.
