Duval Triangle
Dr. Michel Duval developed the Duval Triangle, based on the use of three hydrocarbon gases, in the 1960s as a more accurate method of interpreting transformer oil testing results in a dissolved gas analysis (DGA). This method is used by SDMyers and references the IEEE Standard C57.104 in the IEEE Guide for the Interpretation of Gases Generated in Oil-Immersed Transformers. It is recognized by IEC guidelines.
