>> What do we offer?
We offer a broad range of analytical services to test and evaluate
in-service insulating materials and electrical equipment operations.
Services are designed to enable you to make the decisions necessary
for the cost effective maintenance of your electrical system, regardless
of your level of expertise. The services we offer include:
OLTT® - On Line Transformer Testing
In-service Insulating Liquid and Solid Insulation
Analysis
Lab Online
Transformer Maintenance Assessments
Electronic Data Management Services
Courier Services for Sampling, Analysis, and Interpretation
Mail In Services for Analysis and Interpretation
Express Data Only Services
Data Review, Interpretation, and Recommendations
>> What is our approach to providing
your solutions?
Our service offerings are flexible to meet your specific needs. We
provide a complete package of laboratory analyses to thoroughly evaluate
the condition of in-service insulating liquids. We provide all of
the services necessary to secure representative samples of insulating
liquids from your equipment including sampling by a skilled and trained
technician. We also provide the containers and instructions needed
for you to obtain and mail in your own samples. Finally, we offer
the experience we have gained in 37 years of providing these services
to help you interpret the information and manage the data for your
cost effective maintenance program to extend equipment life and prevent
unplanned outages.
>> What
is our experience?
As a company, we have been providing analytical services since 1965.
Our database of transformer test data exceeds four million records.
Annually, we test tens of thousands of transformers, representing
hundreds of thousands of insulating liquid samples. More than one
half of our laboratory technical personnel have at least twelve
years of experience with S. D. Myers, Inc., and the average level
of experience for all technical staff is more than ten years. Results
are reviewed and recommendations are prepared by a small group of
specialists and supervisors who have, collectively, more than 100
years of laboratory and transformer maintenance experience. S. D.
Myers, Inc. personnel are key contributors to the activities of
many technical and trade organizations such as ASTM, IEEE, IEC,
Cigre, NETA, and the Doble Client Committees.

The above analyses and methods are offered routinely
at our lab in Tallmadge, OH. There are a number of special analyses
for new and in-service liquid and solid insulating materials that
are offered at our laboratory and through strategic partnerships
with other labs. Samples from overseas that may not be imported
into the United States for analysis may be sent to S. D. Myers,
Inc. Testing Laboratory in Sudbury, Ontario, Canada. Please contact
your SDMI representative for further details regarding any of these
analytical services.
